Tydified Privacy Policy
Tydified ("Tydified," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by DS Santiago LLC, provides a family chore and reward management mobile app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who this policy is for
Tydified is designed for parents and guardians. Only an adult can create an account. Children do not sign in, create accounts, or enter personal information in the App. A parent creates child profiles (a name and an optional birthday) to organize chores and rewards. See Section 6 (Children's Privacy).
2. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account information — your name and email address, used to create and secure your account (authentication is handled by our backend provider, Supabase).
- Family and child profiles — your family name, an auto-generated family invite code, and for each child a display name and an optional date of birth.
- App content — chores, point values, rewards, redemptions, points balances, streaks, goals, and activity history you create while using the App.
- Support communications — if you email us, we receive your message and contact details.
Information collected automatically:
- Subscription status — whether you have an active Tydified Plus subscription (managed through Apple or Google and our subscriptions provider, RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full payment card details; payments are processed by Apple or Google.
- Limited technical/diagnostic data — basic, non-precise information needed to operate the App (for example, app version and device platform). Tydified does not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or advertising identifiers, and does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- create, secure, and operate your account and family;
- provide core features (chores, approvals, rewards, points, streaks, goals);
- process and validate Tydified Plus subscriptions;
- respond to support requests;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Backend database, authentication, file storage | Account, family/child profiles, app content |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Subscription status, anonymized/account identifier |
| Apple / Google | In-app purchases & billing | Purchase and subscription transactions |
| Expo | App build/runtime framework | Standard app operation |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We never sell personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (Section 7), we delete your family, child profiles, chores, rewards, points history, and related records from our active systems. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, or accounting purposes, and backups are rotated on a routine schedule.
6. Children's privacy (COPPA)
Protecting children's privacy is central to how Tydified is built.
- Tydified is parent-managed. Children do not have accounts, do not sign in, and are never prompted for personal information.
- The only data associated with a child is a display name and an optional birthday, both entered by the parent to organize chores and rewards.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. We do not request a child's email, phone number, precise location, photos, or contacts.
- A parent or guardian controls all child profile data and can edit or delete it at any time, including by deleting the account.
If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us at support@tydified.app and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and update — view and edit your account, family, and child profiles in the App.
- Delete your account and data — in the App, go to More → Delete account. This permanently deletes your family, children, chores, rewards, and history. You may also email support@tydified.app to request deletion. See our Account Deletion page for details.
- Subscriptions — manage or cancel Tydified Plus through your Apple or Google account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise them, contact support@tydified.app.
8. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our backend (row-level security). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
9. International users
Tydified is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or by other reasonable means.
